The Year 2022

Happy New Year everyone! I know it has been a while since my last entry, but like most of you I was super busy with holiday festivities. Now that 2021 is over and we can breathe a bit, I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas and were blessed to ring in 2022 without regret.

As each new year presents, it gives us two unique opportunities: the first is reflecting on the past year. Perhaps it was one of the happiest years of your life! Maybe you were goal driven, and monumental achievements became your reality. It could be that personally you are in a place that brings you peace. Better yet, the past year brought a new love, or the love you already enjoy became even stronger. So much happens to each of us as we take a spin around the sun; however, it happens gradually. Sometimes we can not fathom that another year has past.

The second opportunity that occurs is that we have the luxury of looking forward. We can’t imagine what the next 365 days will bring! We might meet the love of our lives. Some of us might change jobs, move to a new city, make contributions to our communities that we never anticipated. So many wonderful events that can possibly change our personal world are within our grasp. The new, in new year, is just that; a time for new beginnings!

As a new year begins, lots of us set goals. We feel refreshed, ready to take on some new tasks or even find a new hobby. We might exercise more often, take that trip we’ve been putting off, focus on a healthier lifestyle, go for that promotion, or even find a new, more exciting job. Whatever it is, I wish you only the best that 2022 has to offer. Every day brings new adventures that we should never take for granted.

I am not insensitive to the previous few years and the terror we have faced as a country and individuals, as well. This virus has definitely changed us, but I have confidence that we, as a society, will come out even stronger. We have to stop looking back, and pivot into the joy 2022 can bring. We should take great care of ourselves, body and soul; concentrate on putting your best YOU forward. I intend to continue feeling grateful and blessed for each day. I wish you all an interesting 2022, one that you will reflect on positively, one that will be filled with patience, love and especially laughter(the best medicine of all)!!

2022, it is going to be one incredible year!! Cheers everyone,
