A New Season

It is undeniably that time of year, when we take pause and try holding steadfast to the last days summer has to offer; while transitioning to our more routine time of year.

I currently have two grandchildren heading off to kindergarten, and two others who are stepping into preschool. New beginnings for them as well as their parents. I am very excited for them to explore this next step of learning. Socializing with children they are soon to meet, perhaps making some lifetime friends! “Oh The Places You’ll Go” my little loves!

As my grandchildren are about to embark on a new adventure, adults, too, are changing. Perhaps not only our schedules, but our seasons, as well. This time of year is more settled. Not so many vacations, outings, or gatherings. As our days get shorter, we also tend to hunker down; feasibly being less enthusiastic about activities.

I imagine it is just natures way of slowing us down. The exciting, long days of summer are winding down, but STOP…new adventures are still possible, right? Just because the clock changes does not have to signify our unwillingness to go out, have fun, try new things, be bold!!

Just like my grandchildren are beginning a new chapter, adults should seize the moment, also!! There are only so many chapters we get to write; so… go out, have family and friends gather, acquire a new hobby; whatever it takes to shake this time of year up and make this transition the best one yet!

Carpe diem folks,
