On June 17, 2020 I returned home after six and a half weeks. I traveled to RI to help with the birth of my fourth grandchild. Of course the birth of my third granddaughter was absolutely amazing! She is a bouncing 9 lb 3 oz, beautiful bundle of sweetness. It was also very enjoyable to have all that time to spend with my loving, energetic two year old grandson.
Like any trip it is always sad to say goodbye but this one was very tough for me. It tugged on my heart strings leaving those two grandchildren, after sharing so much precious time. For me, knowing I will be returning in a month, however, brought comfort.
Upon returning to my beautiful home, I felt very privileged. I know how hard my husband works to provide our sanctuary. I am indeed one lucky lady! The most exciting part of coming home was being able to sleep in my own bed! I find that no matter where I travel, whether to family or a resort, there is nothing better than a restful sleep in my own bed.
After a six and a half week stay away from home it definitely made me appreciate all that I am fortunate to possess. I am very blessed to have such wonderful friends in both Rhode Island and Colorado. Coming back to my home and being alone with my husband actually made me realize that the phrase “home sweet home” is not a phrase I take for granted. My home is an actual place that I consider to be a location that I can rejuvenate and regenerate.
I hope I am not the only person that feels this way about their home. Wherever an individual lays their head at the end of each day, should be peaceful and most of all conflict free. Life is too short to have it any other way!!
Pleasant Dreams,
