Does any one know their job, these days? How many times have you gone to a store, talked to a customer service agent, spoke to a professional, etc. just to become frustrated and either leave or hang up in complete dismay?
Now, I realize every one makes their share of mistakes, but giving you wrong information or not even knowing a job you’ve been trained for is just plain inadequate. We are counting on these customer service personnel to maintain their knowledge of their given task.
I often wonder if these representatives are correctly trained or just simply on another planet! I was raised to know my job, whatever position that role might be. Whether I was a cashier, salesperson, secretary, accounts receivable agent, home school representative, or teacher, I took my profession very serious. If I wasn’t well versed in a particular area, I would search for the answer or find someone I could learn from to correctly guide me.
Nowadays, I feel others do not take their occupations with such seriousness. They seem to fail on basic questions and sometimes can’t articulate their response. When I think of countless seconds, minutes, sometimes hours it takes for someone to help solve my issue regarding a certain inquiry, seems completely ridiculous!
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, become fully engaged in whatever job you are currently undertaking! Humanity is counting on knowledgeable, communicative, effective individuals to engage and take on all the professions that are required for our lives to run smoothly. Please don’t skimp because we will all suffer for your lack of expertise. The inefficiency needs to end…know your job!!!!
