The month of December is known for its hustle and bustle. It is a month of house parties, work gatherings, and gift preparations. This month is full of excitement, as we prepare to celebrate Christmas, a time when we come together to perhaps worship, or give thanks for all those loving people we are so fortunate to have in our lives.

This particular December (2022) brought the most precious gift of all! Our fifth grandchild was born! December 15th, our beautiful Caroline Ashley graced our family with her presence. She weighed 8lbs 8ozs and is just perfect! Not only are we overjoyed, but her two siblings couldn’t be happier. Her big brother is just in love with his baby sister, and is always kissing and hugging her. Caroline’s sister Charlotte, aka…lotte’ love, Charlize, lots of love, etc. is more reserved. I have the sweetest video of Charlotte reading to Caroline, when Caroline first arrived home, it is absolutely the sweetest moment. Can’t wait to share it someday with these two sweethearts, and watch their reaction.

As I reflect on 2022, my family and I have had a wonderful year. Of course there has been some bumps, but by far much more joy! My husband and I are very fortunate to have such a wonderful life. It is the pride of our lives to look at all we have created.

Caroline Ashley, aka “sweet Caroline,” you have made our hearts burst even more than we could have dreamed! Number five has always been my lucky number, and having five grandchildren makes me the luckiest grandmother of ALL!!!
